It is intended for isolation of the damaged (requiring repair) section of the pipeline. The damaged section is cut out, a new segment is mounted with the coupling pulled over. The new pipe is installed in place of the cut-out segment, the couplings are shifted by half of their length, thereby ensuring a tight connection.
Service life: 50 years
Maximum operating temperature: in temperature ranges from 0 °C to 80 °C and short-term discharges up to 95 °C, no more than 100 hours per year.
